Yes, I can see some voters giving the nod to McFadden to acknowledge him for his "lifetime achievement" in college football. After seeing RB greats such as Marshall Faulk (1992), LaDainian Tomlinson (2000) and Adrian Peterson (2004) get screwed in the past, I don't have a problem with McFadden getting it. There's a valid argument that he is certainly the "best player in the country".

I hope the people who vote for McFadden don't do it as an alternative because:

A. Tebow is a sophomore
B. Tebow is on a three loss team (the Heisman is not a MVP award)

These are bull**** reasons and should have no impact on the voting.

Kevin Smith from UCF should be a finalist. sadly, he won't get an invite to NY, let alone any realistic shot at winning the Heisman. I agree that Dorsey should be there as well.

The award has turned into the best QB on a top ranked team or maybe a RB with good numbers if there's no great QB. The last time a defensive player was in the top 5 of the voting? 1997 when Charles Woodson won the award. Before that? 1992 with Marvin Jones finishing 4th. So much for "most outstanding college football player" huh?

I agree, Tebow is a force to be reckoned with he has the strength of a lineman and is not afraid to run the ball ! Go Gators!!

The guy who did the most for his team was Chad Hall of AFA. Bet he didn't get a single vote.

close race, but my money is still on Tebow

I may have missed it, did Tebow not thank me? I didn't know him or anything but he thanked every other person in the continental US...
