So the guy don't have the balls to call us himself...neither did his dad for that matter. Sounds like a KSU guy to me.

I'm sure we'll remember this the first time he lines up under center against us.

Whoa, look who else is a Cornhusker fan!

I wish I could find a way to make it to the game, but just can't afford it.

We're leaving Pensacola here in about 3 hours to San Antonio. I didn't even realize there was a thread for Husker fans in here. I never go of the main forum, except for the fantasy football. I might have to make a detour from now on.

Go Huskers.

Don't worry he will end up a TE at KSU.

Go Huskers.
Hope to see you pop in here from time to time, I've seen you around the main board and had no clue you were a former Husker fan! Heck you're even a fellow Floridian, I'm in Clearwater myself.

I've read that he really liked Freeman. I'm not sure how true that is though. I've read that the number 11 pro style QB is trying to contact us. Greg McElroy. He's signed with TT but I guess he is pissed about them signing the number 13 QB. While he is only a 3 star it would easy the blow of lossing Freeman.
I'm excited to see Harrison Beck play, he was the quarterback for Countryside High (my schools 2nd biggest rival) and he ripped us good a couple times. He could really be something special.

Losing Freeman hurts, but QB was hardly an area of dire need for this team. DE Rulon Davis switching to Cal could have been a bigger loss.

I'm not sure what to expect from the game tomorrow. We'll need the team that played Colorado to show up if we're going to have a chance. We have a couple injuried on defense (Rudd) that will hurt. If we can score in the upper 20's I think it will be close.

Did Rulon Davis end up staying or did he go to Cal?

I hope so...I absolutely hate Nebraska for being so stupid and hiring Callahanjob....I use to love to watch Nebraska play and cram that run game down peoples throats...To replace that with a Raider reject is beyond forgivable.

Hope Michigan continues the embarrassment that Callahanjob has brought with great frequency.

We might as well pack it in now then, because your predictions are always dead on accurate.

I can understand where you're coming from, but the fact of the matter is that the option style game just wasn't working anymore. It worked great with Devaney and Osborne, but Solich just didn't have the same success and I doubt there was anyone else on the staff that could have done better.

The option game is just outdated and there really aren't any young coaches coming up through the ranks that I feel can run it to Nebraska's standards, so it was definetly time for a change.

Nebraska won't be a perennial power ever again. No more unlimited county scholarships.

They will have their good years and bad years like any program, but they will never get back to where they once were.

And you base this on what evidence? That Nebraska missed a bowl game for the first time in 30 some years? It's amazing that so many people are so envious of Nebraska that they cheer at the thought of NU's demise.

Oh well, if imitation is the biggest sign of flattery, envy must be a damn close second.

Dude, seriously, do you have any room to be saying anything 30-0? Especially since Cu looked so dominant with their 37 yards in 3 quarters last night!

Solich wasn't a great coach and despite that he was just two years removed from playing in a National Championship game. If that isn't working anymore then please send that type of failure to Bloomington, IN for my Hoosiers.

If the option offense doesn't work anymore somebody might want to let Paul Johnson and Navy know that as he continues to beat up on programs with superior talent using it. He took over a program that was 1-20 in their 21 games before he got there. After one bad season to get his option offense in place he went 8-5, 10-2 and 8-4. 3 straight bowls and consecutive bowl victories.

Prior to that he took over a 4-7 Georgia Southern team and went 10-3 in his first year and went on to win back to back Division II National Championships in just 5 seasons before heading to Navy. So in summary if 419 yards of offense per game along with 32.6 points per game with inferior talent is broken then I can't imagine what a non-broken system would look like.
