Its no worse than how NU fan gets treated at CU sometimes though.. its easy to sit on a pedestal and say how some peoples fans suck yet when I hear about NU's fans having to change their license plates when they get to Boulder so that their cars dont get tagged... it reminds me of how stupid some freaking fans get.

I remember when that happened. I was a senior in high school. I'm hoping that Darwinism took that stupid SOB (the "fan" that wrote that) off of the earth.... if not I hope he no longer cheers for NU.

I understand where Saulbadguy is coming from actually... I never saw it when I was younger because Nebraska was winning all the time, but since they have dropped from the upper echelon of college football you see all kinds of OU, Texas and even KSU hats, flags, bumperstickers all over Nebraska. It shows me who the real fans are and who were just bandwagoners. I can only imagine that you have a lot of that left over from NUs glory days in KSU country Saul.... it is kind of like the Husker fans that root for KU in basketball around here (not calling anyone out personally....)

As for me, I like a little adversity with my teams. I guess growing up a Bronco and Red Sox fan (and NU before they won thier first title of my lifetime) does that to you.

Also, bandwagon is a universal term, unless you are a Cubs fan. Don't act like Blow-U doesn't have their fair share of bandwagon fans. Were you guys selling out Faglord stadium during the Blake and Shellenberger eras?
Smellyburger year we averaged 70K...Blakes years were 66K, 69K, and 70K Capacity was 75K not too bad when we had a KState like record. Funny thing is even in the low years, that's still 10-15K more that your "expanded" stadium holds today....

That's fine with me. I wouldn't expect KSU to get 75k in the near, or far future. We have our following, and i'm fine with that. Manhattan is 2 hours away from a large metro area. Norman is not. Blow-U also spends a hell of a lot more on Athletics than KSU does. That doesn't change how I root for my team, though.

Face it...Blow-U fans are irritated by our nice little tradition up in Manhattan, that is still developing. 35-7 still stings as well, against the "greatest college football team ever!"

Pretty much. It irritates me to see NU fans in Kansas, when they have no connection at all to the university, and have never even been there. They just picked NU in the 70's cause they were winning.

OKC Metro 1Million Plus, Top 50 TV and Radio Market = Large Metro Area...As large as KC, no.

Manhattan is like Stoolwater...backwoods, sheep humping town...the only reason it exists is because of the land grant college it recieved back in the 1890's.

43-21 against our worst team this decade isn't much better

"nice little Tradition" You are killing me! Like I said before...win a few, then come talk to me about tradition.

Best fans in college football. Plus, they're damn fun to party with and travel well. After the football game this year, even though we smacked 'em down, they went out en masse to Pearl Street and had a good time.

I was too young to remember that happening, but I've heard about it.

That kind of stuff makes me sick. No matter who you root for, you just don't cheer when another human being dies. Had I been there (and been old enough to do something) I would have gladly smacked that "fan" around on behalf of the Colorado fans who he taunted with that.

When Nebraska hired Callahan I thought it was one of the worst hires I had seen in a decade....I still haven't changed my mind on that. What an embarrassment. Nebraska of old was a real treat to watch them run the ball down peoples throats and compete for national titles...shameful what they have become.

It's a good thing the game was not broadcast here today....I probably would have destroyed my TV.

I still stand by my original Cautiously Optimistic outlook though, although I'll admit I'm more cautious than optimistic at this point.

Can NU beat KSU to become bowl eligible?

There's a snowballs chance in hell of beating the Buffaloes, so the bowl game relies on if NU can top the Wildcats.`

Wow.... I didn't see this one coming.

Right now I'm now sure if NU can beat Lincoln SouthEast... and I have been one of their biggest homers this year.

9 wins for Callahan next year or he is gone. I still have the scarlette and cream colored glasses on enough to think they will do that... but if I am wrong, then he's gone IMO.

Those are some powerful glasses....Losing to KU is pitiful and a bad sign....Getting destroyed by KU goes way beyond being pitiful and a bad sign. No decent coach gets destroyed by vastly inferior talent like that.

This one had to be all mental, there is no way you hang in there with OU and Texas Tech and then get throttled by Kansas unless you just did not show up to play.

Just plain sad.
