How can you lift blockade when other countries like Syria will just flood the strip with missiles and explosives? That is a hard sell for any politician in Israel.

You're right, it still doesn't change the facts.

These fake Jews have been using an ancestry that is not theirs, to convince Christians that they have the right to do what they wish as Gods chosen people.

Unfortunately, most Christian Americans are dumb as ****.

Goddam, I can't believe this thread has taken to calling the Israelis Nazis. They would have to take their game up 10 fold just to be close to that ball park.

That's funny, Einstein said the same thing when he turned down the Israeli presidency.

Not quite, he likened the Herut party and the massacre at Deir Yassin to a Nazi like act. He did not equivalate all of Israel to acting like Nazis. He turned down the presidency because of age and experience and there is no evidence whatsoever that it was because he disagreed with the Jewish state. Considering how much support he gave them after 1949 (after his being outspoken about the Herut Party), it is safe to say he was not disgusted by the country.

Whatever excuse you want to use kbr, Likud is worse then Herut, by far. He knew that state would become the same as those who oppressed the Jews.

That's quite a twist on Western history you got going there...

Western Christians treating Jews as 'Gods chosen people?'

And all the whilst handing out Nazi comparisons? Come on man. "These Jews are just fakin' it for all Anglo/Franco/Germanic Love Jews get"

The early 1800's specifically the early 1820's was a very interesting time in the religious history of the United States. Often coined as "The Second Great Awakening" was a Protestant revival movement.

It gave rise to the system of theology known as dispensationalism (dreamed up by minister John Nelson Darby) that later guided how many Christians view the doctrines of ecclesiology and eschatology.

Interestingly enough at the very same time a completely new U.S. religion in Mormonism was dreamed up by a...shall we say... very creative young man Joseph Smith.

The effectiveness of hijacking ancestry to legitimize new religious theologies is a time-tested truism.

Now look at where we are today. History is so fascinating...

That's good history, but I'm not sure it completely applies.

The argument that some convoluted genetic birthrighted claim to a nation trumps that nation being built on a belief or belief system is pretty sketchy to start with.

Honest to God, just read this description in Wikipedia or just the Warsaw Ghetto and none of the others and seriously ask yourself if that compares at all to what is going on in Gaza or the West Bank. I understand the premise of what you're saying in that there are walls right now there is no crossing in and out during operations and the regular Palestinians are suffering compared to an average Israeli, Jordanian, Egyptian, etc but the Israelis are not walking through and systematically shooting men, women and children with zero provocation. They are not putting the Palestinians on below subsistence calorie rations.

Most people here have agreed that Israel can often over-react and they are certainly not winners of any humanitarian awards but to compare them to Nazis is just outlandish.

I see Gaffo has some competition in the "who can make the most mentally challenged statements about Israel" contest.

I think you should read it again. Make a list of the features of the Ghetto and I think you'll find that more of them apply to Gaza than do not. It would also be naive to pretend that there are not voices in Israel calling for out and out extermination of the Palestinian "snakes" is how I believe they are putting it.

As the situation widely deteriorates in the Gaza Strip, Israeli parliament member and law-maker Ayelet Shaked has stigmatized all Palestinians as terrorists, wishing death on all Palestinians while supporting the Israeli military assault.

On Monday Shaked quoted this on her Facebook page: "Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there."

And that's a member of Israel's parliament.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/20/wo...ies-at-64.html

Mariam Farhat, Known as ‘Mother of Martyrs,’ Dies at 64

Quote:
Ms. Farhat was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council in 2006. Four years earlier, her 17-year-old son, Mohammad, was shot to death after he stormed an Israeli settlement with an automatic rifle and explosives, killing five students. Shortly before the attack, Ms. Farhat made a video in which she appeared with Mohammad to show support for what he was about to do.

“I wish I had 100 boys like Mohammad,” she once said. “I’d sacrifice them for the sake of God.”

But the military might of one side faaaaaar outweighs the other. Let's get straight who's the oppressor and who's being oppressed. Like MLK said, if you're going to keep a man in the gutter, you'll have to be down in there with him.

It appears Israeli forces just killed four kids on a beach. They were shelling the beach from the sea. Israel claims the Palestinians were using the kids to shield a rocket launcher on the beach. Witnesses claim the kids were just playing in the sand.

They made a sand castle that looked like a rocket launcher.

Interesting world view... being more powerful automagically makes you more wrong?

You just demonized an Israeli leader for stating the obvious. There's a whole segment of Palestinian society clearly responsible for aiding, abetting, and encouraging terrorism against helpless civilians and genocide.

Ms. Farhat was a snake. Is it wrong to say so?
