The Kansas City Chiefs won two games in 2012. They now have three times as many Pro Bowlers.

The Chiefs have announced that linebacker Justin Houston has been named to the AFC team, replacing Broncos linebacker Von Miller.

Chiefs definitely are among the top 2-14 getting blown out every week teams in terms of talent

Chiefs aren't just a QB away, but they aren't the horrible team they appeared to be this year. I still think even an average QB would have gotten us 6 wins.

They have some holes, but the cupboard is most certainly not bare. There's quite a few good football players on our team.

I'm also very trustworthy of our staff to find a QB for our system. They are very proven at the position.

Either the chiefs have a bunch of NFL frauds on their team, or Andy Reid may have a chance to do for them what Harbaugh did for the 9ers--expose the previous coaching regimes as one of the worst in NFL history.

Let's hope it is the former. OTOH, if they don't get a qb, it may do neither.

Reid just failed miserably with one of the most talented rosters in the league. Maybe a change of scenery will help, but his problems weren't lack of players.

Eagles had some talented rosters the past few years and he didn't do squat with them.
Vick, McCoy, Maclin, Jackson, Celek, and the defensive players, shoot. But what, a 12-20 record the past 2 years I think?

I think players are so willing to opt out of the pro-bowl because it helps others out. Everyone that gets asked to the pro-bowl, alt or not, gets to say they're a pro-bowler. By the time changes are finished, each position may have a half dozen people deemed "pro-bowlers" for their resume and contract negotiations. The reality is they found a way to make the "pro-bowler" title as pointless as the game.

Miller has nothing to prove, he is an all-pro, this isn't his first pro-bowl and he was voted a starter so it is not like he needs the accolade. It is like the Patriots who always decline to go, why would he go? he can relax, rest his shoulder, have some fun. I am guess with Miller he would rather take this time off and then ramp up his pre-season prep a bit earlier so he can get that DPOY award next year and get his team to the super bowl.

I still don't think Reid is the best coach for that team. Charles is by far their best player and Reid minimizes the value of a RB because his offense is all about the pass and they don't have the QB to do that. There are no good free agents available and this draft is iffy at best for the position. The chiefs will remain a QB short of anything promising for at least another year.

Not even the end of January and everyone is jizzing all over the Chiefs next year as being uber talented and a sleeper pick....just...no. They lost 14 games and got their asses kicked in basically all of them. Even when the niners drastically underachieved with their team before Harbaugh whipped their asses into shape, they were far more competitive than this Chiefs team was.

But whatever, i hope the team and staff shares their fans and general media's total delusion and we get to enjoy a 5-11 ****fest...hey, 3 win improvement guys!

Broncos beat the Chiefs by 8 points. AFC Champion Ravens beat us by a FG. The 6th seed Colts beat us by a TD. The Steelers (with Big Ben most of the game) beat us in OT.

The 49ers had their fair share of embarrassments the year before Harbaugh showed up. Just so happens that the Chiefs were one of the teams to deal one of those blowouts.
