I don't believe good players make good coaches. I think average players make good coaches because they know all the little things you need to do to be successful.

Rivers numbers reflect the talent he's got to work with IMHO. Look at who he has now compared to who he had when SD was winning. For whatever reason, AJ Smith let talent go but could not replace that talent. I think McCoy will definitely help on offense but it's hard to know what kind of defense SD will field. They both need a lot of help.
