Glad it's happening before Christmas... don't have to waste any time or money shopping for gifts this year, which is nice.

You should try sobering, because drinking makes you tell people that you believe in Bigfoot.

Even some people who believe there is something to the Mayan calendar are smart enough to say its not supposed to be the end of the world. The end of the world thing is just Y2K media hype.

I was flipping channels this morning and found some goofy show about idiots that call themselves "Preppers". Pure commedy!

I got the end of the episode I flipped into so I went to on demand and watched a couple episodes. One dude had a year of food, solar panels, a wind thingy, and bartered some gold and a used "Bugout Vehicle" i.e. used Ford explorer. There was a segment with some rich dude who had bought $40k in freeze dried food, then bought a helicopter for $500,000. The best was some dude who met his wife on the internet, brought her to the USA then Married her, only he didn't tell her that he sold all his possessions bought a couple acres of land in the woods, and bought a mobile home (small one used for traveling and camping) to live in.

Nutjobs!

That said I do have a couple weeks worth of rice and soups, water and other consumables in a storage tub in the basement just incase of a blizzard or something that happens where we can't get food for a couple weeks, beyond that we are ****ed and it truely is the end of the world.

If you're hard enough on the December 21st bandwagon, you'd probably also believe that they're right and the government is covering it up..
