Okay Rev, let me ask you something and I don't want to get into this too deeply, but let's take your argument about Sassy trolling for instance. We've seen other people troll, lots of guys obviously are trolls (Bob as a KC fan, but let's say MacGruder as a "Bronco fan"). They post some pretty questionable crap. Do they ruin it for all MALE posters when they post things that are really really dumb? Why is this tied so much to Sassy and Blue being female?

I saw another troll thread, that you also noted was a troll thread and posted as much. I believe it was a baited thread about Plummer and Tebow. Yet that thread got taken back into a football debate correct? It didn't go on for 22 pages or whatever just calling the original poster a chronic masturbator or something. Granted I will full on admit I jumped in that thread to screw with it by posting penis jokes, but eventually even I backed off and let the discourse flow to it's natural conclusion.

So again, why can't this stuff with Sassy and Blue just become another OM historical joke, like the Myrtle Beach thing? instead it is becoming some sort of gender war which it does not need to be.

Okay, let's say Bob's trolling and SoCal ran in and banned someone for it simply because he and Bob are both guys. Then there'd be an issue... especially if they refused to admit it and whined about people calling them out on it for a week straight when the inherently obvious is right in everyone's face.

Absolutely. She claims it was something about a tampon... but naturally Blue deleted it, and people who saw it real time said it wasn't offensive and that also shows that the banning was completely related to the sex of the posters.

Okay I will admit I caged my last posts on that thread to not offend, but you really did like pulling the parts out you wanted to be mad about too. I recall the debate. You personally insulted me and for once I got pissed enough to say something.

I read almost the entire thread, there was a lot of bull**** directed at Sassy's personal life with Hogan, her personal hygiene that would not have been brought up if she'd been a guy. Even when you guys insult each other you call each other "p***Y" of "douche." You regularly use feminine objects as indicators of weakness and it's crap in more contexts then not. Do I laugh at some of it, sure, but there is an anger behind some of the posts that is hostile to a point I really don't understand it.

Why continue debating something that you much know you will never win. My endeavors in defending Sassy, were yes a bit based on I don't like it when men use hateful very sexist terminology to try to attack someone. I actually had a very good discussion with one of other posters who also felt Sassy was trolling and would not admit, but not once did he use gender specific terminology to do so. His points sunk home with me and I do see the merit in the argument that it was trolling thread. HOWEVER, please understand I also know Sassy well enough to recognize that she was trying to be funny and while I do think the timing of the thread was poor, being right after a victory over the Faders, I don't believe she anticipated the response she would get. The Plummer Tebow thread could have been just as devisive, but it wasn't.

I defended Sassy and yes females in generals because I thought the use of bull**** insults had elevated the hostility to unsuitable levels and made it about her being a girl rather than the merits or weaknesses of the topic for debate. I think it's beneath you and most of the posters to take that tact and it weakens your arguments because your argument gets lost in your angry reactions

Rev, you do get a tone sometimes that can be intimidating, in addition to which when you get really mad you pepper your responses with insults that undermines it, except to those who actually prefer that.

I am not even going to claim that I don't do that, I unfortunately do it at work and it gets my dumbass in trouble. But I like this board and I try to see the good and the intent behind posts rather than what are sometimes not very well articulated posts. I guess I don't always articulate myself well and so I hope for that same understanding when people read my stuff. That's how I roll.
