I take back my earlier comment, having now looked a bit closer. He's got raw speed, which we are largely missing on offense from the backfield. But he's also 185 pounds, and his role here is limited to a punt return guy in all probability. At best he could get a few spot carries as a RB, but he's too small to be a regular option. He'd get killed.

I'm not so sure that McKenzie follows up his failure this time around with another one. He may be a lot better this year. If so, it will be an interesting battle between those two.

Phillip Lindsay

Just want to chime in here as a Buffs fan. Lindsay was the Buffs offense last year. He has insane durability, plays much bigger than he is, and had similar production to Christian McCaffery in the Pac 12.

He's not the prototype, and he wont ever become a starter at the NFL level, but he has a motor unlike just about any player, and I think he can be a Darren Sproles-Type spell back.

RB Phillip Lindsay. The Broncos have a crowd of youth at the position -- Devontae Booker, in his third season, is the oldest player on the running back depth chart -- and Lindsay is the undrafted rookie in the mix. But he has shown explosiveness, good vision in the open field and good work as a receiver and has presented himself as a potential option as a kickoff returner. He led the team with 40 receiving yards in the preseason opener and certainly has the Broncos' attention at a spot where the decisions will be difficult. -- Jeff Legwold
