Can you just imagine how many yards Barry Sanders would've had if he had a good O-line like Emmit Smith had

Imagine what AD could've done at OU if he was on that 2008 team....

He was so unbelievably smooth and so deceptively fast. I can never forget that Halloween game against the Broncos on a national stage when Dickerson just smoked us.

Peterson may well be a hall of fame talent, but I still don't think he is at the same level as Dickerson.
Yep, and this is what I see in McFadden when he runs the ball. Just saying...

Peterson is a great runner, but extremely fast he is not. Chris Johnson is extremely fast, CJ Spiller and some others are also in that range but AD is a full notch (at least) below in pure speed.

there is no asterisk needed next to his record. the season is the season.
No need to have the asterisk if Adrian breaks the record...Dickerson's 2,105 yards came in a 16 game season...he averaged 131.6 yards per game. Adrian is currently averaging 123.1 yards per game....which equates to a 1970 yards over 16 game season....he has a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.

Eric Dickerson doesn’t want Adrian Peterson to break his record

Adrian Peterson has 1,812 yards rushing with 2 games left in the season.

AD will hit 2,000 yards by averaging 94 yards per game.

AD will pass Eric Dickerson by averaging 147 yards per game.

Yes, you are being a homer.

TD did not "sit out" 3-4 games. It was, at best, 1 and a half games.

Second, OJ did it in fourteen games, not 12, so it was two less. Dickerson played in the 16 game era.

He sat out MANY games, I've read somewhere the time he sat out equaled like 3-4 games. Another thing to take in account was that he scored 24 TD's that year.

Dickerson and OJ did it in 4 less games also..

AP is getting alot of credit and hype, but alot of that has to do with the fact he came back from injury...

The Vikings are my dad's favorite team and my second team so I have seen about 80% of AP's games since he was drafted and he is by far the best back I have ever seen. It is unbelievable how good he is.
