I have literally NO IDEA how to stop people from attacking TGN, who I personally really like. I've gotten a chance to shake the guy's hand, and see what a great fan he is. But the guy has strong opinions. And you know what, he's never once complained to me. He owns what he says. You challenge him on something he says - whatever it is - he owns it. He'll defend it. He doesn't care what you think of him. Thank God, because as much as I disagree with him, I like Leo, and I have no idea how to stop people from challenging him on his obstinate, hard opinions. Hell, I had no idea how to stop people from attacking me on my obstinate hard opinions when I defended Griese, or attacked Plummer, or went meltdown on Bowlen. The only thing I know how to do is let Leo fend for himself and get out of his way. This whole Baja situation. I have no idea how to handle this. Baja and I go back to the late 90's on the DPO forum. I got a lot of love for Baja. But hell if I know what to do when he asks the forum what should be done legally when older men take advantage of consenting teens who are "wired" for sex with older men, and he ends up scrutinizes over it. I mean, what a question in a time when a huge national pedophilia story is breaking and everyone is in the mood to string up a pedophile. What the crap? Hell, I miss the easy days when Watermock would blast on someone's kid and I could ban him a month for it. That's easy stuff. Hell if I know what to do here. I run a site where we ask people to own what they say. If you want to bash on Tebow, fine. Own it. You want to crown him the king of Denver. People aren't going to forget that when he can't complete a pass and we get blown out vs. Detroit. You want to go postal on Bowlen because you're pissed that he fired the coach you love - buckle down because you're going to go on blast. The things you say on this forum come with a price. I've learned that all to well when I sat on the phone with the Broncos PR and had to own up to what I put out in the universe. I can't fix this. The only thing I can do in this situation is lock the thread and hope that people drop it. |
