Kevin Smith from UCF should be a finalist. sadly, he won't get an invite to NY, let alone any realistic shot at winning the Heisman. I agree that Dorsey should be there as well.
The award has turned into the best QB on a top ranked team or maybe a RB with good numbers if there's no great QB. The last time a defensive player was in the top 5 of the voting? 1997 when Charles Woodson won the award. Before that? 1992 with Marvin Jones finishing 4th. So much for "most outstanding college football player" huh? |
