USC hasn't lost in the Colisseum in...I think over 3 years. It is going to take a much more organized and talented team than Nebraska to pull off the upset. Nebraska is very good, but they can't match USC's speed on both sides of the ball. Not to mention they aren't as well disciplined as SC.

I understand, but in 2003 they did. They replaced a lot of weapons with more weapons. Not to say it is guaranteed they will, but Carroll has put himself in a great position to do so again with his unbelievable recruiting classes.

Didnīt notice that when they rolled a good Arky team last week. A drop off is inevitable, but I was very impressed with USC in the Arky game as I expected them to be worse for the reason you listed above.

The key to winning this game for Nebraska is going to be pounding the ball right at USC. We are going to have to come out and play smash mouth football with USC and wear them down while keeping their offense off the field. With all 4 of our running backs, we should be able to do this with relative ease. We're perfectly capable of beating USC, but it won't be easy. |

Any one watching the USC rehersa--errr Nicholls State game tommorrow? I think its payperview, so I'll probably just listen on the radio. Sounds like they run a lot of option, which should be interesting to see. I wonder if NS will actually cover our TEs this week. If this isn't an easy win, I really don't want to see the SC game next week. Most important thing will be to stay healthy this week. GBR!

Swift and Nunn have come a long way and they can make catches easily down field. Taylor also has the arm to get it to them and can stand in the pocket for valuable extra time to deliver the ball. I think you need to watch a Nebraska game. |

What I was trying to say about your assesment is that it is way off. We are a passing team now and pretty effective at it. The run has only developed again this saeson because our backs got some experience and now we are 4 deep at that. Being so deep at RB will also help the running game even if we have to start relying on it because we have so many good ones it will make it easier to wear down on the defense while keeping our RB's fresh.

For what its worth I think this is the most talented group of RBs we have ever had at Nebraska, that includes the team that had Phillips and Green in the backfield.

Yeah Herian seems to have come back well. Also, not that it was a big deal to stomp Nicholls State into Oblivion, but I found this tidbit pretty cool.

well this has to get your blood boiling. I know mine was when I heard this. I was watching an LA network last night and their news sports casters said that as far as nebraskas lb's are concerned, they are "middle of the pack."
Oh, and USC fans say that their defense are the real blackshirts, and that's what their fans are saying. I didn't hear this personally, but my brother told me from a message board he is apart of, and he wouldn't lie about this. |
