In the 90's particulary late 90's the Huskers and Broncos were winning championships. Cheifs havn't done that since what, the 60's? Then this year the Broncos were in the AFC championship game, and the Huskers are really starting to click and beat Michiagan in the bowl game, so things are starting to get back to normal.
It's wierd. I have family that lives in nebraska and loves the Huskers. But when it comes to the pro level, the people i have met there love three teams. they either like the Broncos, or the Chiefs, or the packers. Just those three teams. My Grandparant and my uncle like the Broncos, my cousin likes the packers, and my other cousin likes the cheifs, and everyone there is like that. just those three teams.

I grew up in Omaha and that's Chiefs territory. But my Dad's side of the family all live in KC so it was preordained I become a Chiefs fan. Omaha's kinda weird , It's mostly Chiefs fans and a lot of transplanted Minnesotans that love the Vikings. Theirs a lot of Packer fans and Bear fans as well. Nebraska becomes Bronco fans west of Kearney. I live in Scottsbluff near the Wyoming border. All Bronco fans here. I'm a pilgrim in a unholy land.
